What we store
- API keys, hashed. We keep a SHA-256 hash of each key and its short prefix, plus the optional label you gave it. We cannot read or recover your key.
- Usage counts. How many checks each key has used in the current period, so we can enforce plan limits.
- Cached public records. Copies of records fetched from official public registers and lists, so repeated lookups are fast and do not overload those sources.
- Signup IP addresses, to limit signups to 5 per IP address per 24 hours.
Where company data comes from
All company data comes from official public registers, the EU VIES VAT service, GLEIF and published sanctions lists. Some registers publish the names of officers and owners; BizCheck returns them only where the register does.
Payments
A merchant of record handles payment. Card details and billing addresses go to them, not to us. We receive a notice that a subscription is active, cancelled or past due, linked to your key.
No tracking
The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
